Emergency Veterinary Services

After Hours Emergencies

Emergency vet services are a fundamental cornerstone of our commitment to comprehensive pet care. Your pet isn't going to take "normal business hours" into consideration. Accidents do occur, which is why we need to be prepared.

In case emergencies do happen AFTER our business hours, please contact the Animal Emergency Clinic of Springfield located at 821 S. Durkin Drive, Springfield, Illinois 62704. You can also reach them by phone at (217)698-0870. They are now open 24/7.

Emergencies During Business Hours

No Appointments Necessary For Emergency Vet Services

When every second counts, Animal Hospital of Springfield's team is here to help you and your pet overcome whatever medical crisis is taking place. During regular business hours, our animal hospital provides immediate care for your pet suffering an emergency crisis without the need for an appointment.

When possible, please call us when you are on your way (217) 679-8464, so that we can prepare for your arrival. However, we do not want to add to the time it takes to get your pet the emergency vet care services they need.

  • Intensive care and monitoring by our veterinarian and technicians
  • Complete diagnostic lab for immediate test results
  • Advanced pain management
  • Continuous rate infusion for IV fluids and meds
  • Pulse Oximetry, End-Tidal CO2, blood pressure, and ECG monitoring
